The Workshop
Our chocolate workshop is a multi-sensory experience which is both fun and interesting ; it lasts approx. 1hour 40mins and includes:
Chocolate Journey
Background to Cocoa growing, harvesting, processing and its journey to becoming chocolate
Demonstration
A chocolate making demonstration showing you we make different chocolate products
A Hands-on session
A hands-on chocolate-making session where you get to make and decorate your very own unique chocolate product to take home with you (including mould)
Taste
Tastings of different grades of chocolate throughout the workshop to keep your taste buds awake; Smell the cocoa beans and learn lots of interesting facts and figures about chocolate!
*You can also add Tea and scones or afternoon tea to your visit.

We four oldies had the most wonderful experience at The Chocolate Garden yesterday. Mary went to endless trouble to cater for our needs and ensure we had endless plates of truly delicious food, and surprises of sweet strawberries for dipping in The Chocolate Garden's own wonderful melted chocolate. We thoroughly enjoyed our chocolate making experience too and are looking forward to eating our creations very soon. Thank you, Mary, and Michelle for excellent table service.
I brought my three young grandchildren for the Easter egg moulding experience. They were so excited about making the eggs and especially the ice cream afterwards. Also there was a lovely safe playground there in which they had great fun playing. All in all a lovely experience.
We did the christmas chocolate making class. It was great fun and we all enjoyed ourselves, young and old lol. Plenty of chocolate to taste and goodies to take home.
A group of 40+ Active Retired members from Waterford visited the Chocolate Garden Wednesday 20th Sep 2023.
We were really well looked after by Mary and John and I received excellent feedback from all the group most of whom had not visited before. On arrival we had tea/ coffee and scones and followed that by a chocolate workshop.
The workshop covered the history and background of the bean to the development of chocolate as we know it today. Two of the friendly young staff ran the workshop handing out chocolate samples and brought us through forming our own chocolate pigs! Great fun was had by all making the eggs using the moulds that they supplied.
The Chocolate Garden is adjacent to the Rathwood outlet and garden centre which has a nice restaurant.
We would highly recommend a visit to the Chocolate Garden
